When I started out, Ayurveda felt heavy and hard to follow. So I wrote the guide I wish someone had handed me: simple, honest, and easy to actually use. If you’re new to it, I’d start right here.
Ayurveda can feel like a lot, so I stripped it back. The book starts from one idea, your body works a little differently from everyone else’s, then shows how food, sleep and small daily habits keep you feeling good. It reads like a conversation, and you don’t need to know a thing to begin.
The Tridosha idea: Vata, Pitta, Kapha, and how to read your body.

The author
Written by Vicram Sharma
Vicram Sharma is a third-generation director at Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan, the family’s century-old Ayurveda house. He studied at The Doon School and the London School of Economics, and grew up learning hands-on at Baidyanath’s production units, where medicines are still made the traditional way. He wrote the book he always wished existed, for people who want to understand Ayurveda properly.
"Ayurveda has always been about balance. We’re making it easier to live"
